Final
The project I probably liked the most was the stop motion. It was so funny and just creative and we needed to move around rather than just taking a spot and shooting a picture. The project I liked least was the pop art. Probably because I was late to come to class so I had to hurry throughout the project rather than taking my time.

Composition Shoot
Make negative space interesting
For this shot, I just used the fencing in the lunch area and to make the negative space more interesting rather than just tables and chairs I asked Sadie to stand behind.
Overlapping
For this overlap shot, I just saw papers on top of each other on the bulletin board and they were overlapped as is so I just took a picture.
Rule of Thirds
I was having trouble finding a shot for rule of thirds and just took a picture oif the scenery having the mountains as the edges on top if that makes any sense haha
Runs of three edges
For the shot of the running of three edges, what I did is just shoot the scorpion and kind of angle the camera to where only three will have the object run through.
Repetition of Shapes
This is self explanatory, the bricks are just repeated.
Variety of Shapes
I just used this pattern that shows a variety of shapes.
S-Curve
We rearranged chairs to form as S.
Focal point
I used the scorpion as the focal point for this because it catches your eye first.
Use whole space
I just took a close up picture of this painting to fit the entire frame.

Text and Images
I googled a picture of field and ca me up with the picture below. I then added the mask inbetween where the sky and grass both can be seen. Wrote a phrase "Be happy" since I think it's relevant to the background and made a new layer and added some shadow on it.
Gaze project
- Create a blog post defining in (full sentences) your own words: Gaze Position and Re-Contextualization.
- Your project will be to re-contextualize an image or symbol to change the gaze position. This can be funny, critical, or absurd. Use Photoshop tools you have learned to change the image at least 50%.
- Post your original image or symbol, and then post your re-contextualized version.
- Include a 5 paragraph reflection about how you re-contextualized the image and why you made the decisions that you made.
In my opinion, gaze position is how you look at something that someone else is trying to make you feel. As for example, advertisements. The publisher is meant to make a reader be persuaded to buy the product they are selling. Re-Contextualization is when you put something in a different position to the audience, it can also change the gaze position.

For this picture - I turned a picture that is to mostly a female gaze and turn it into the stereotypical men gaze.

Unit Question: Does seeing mean believing?
Significant Concepts:
- How to deduce bias from contextual clues (both textually and visually)
- How to analyse and explain the use of design elements in advertisement
- How to infer and explain gaze position/demographic/target audiences of media
- How to recognize and deconstruct semiotics within media/advertisements
